EU sanctions like ‘shooting oneself in the foot’ – Hungary PM

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has urged a rethink of the European Union’s sanctions policy toward Russia, saying the measures are like “shooting oneself in the foot.”

“The sanctions policy pursued by the West, that is, ourselves, a necessary consequence of which, has been what the Russians are doing, causes more harm to us than to Russia,” Reuters quoted Orban as saying on the radio, he added “in politics, this is called shooting oneself in the foot.”

Russia is Hungary’s largest trade partner outside of the EU, with exports worth $3.4 billion in 2013. Also it is highly dependent on Russian energy. Earlier this year Hungary agreed a $13 billion deal with Russian power company Rosatom to expand the country’s only nuclear power plant.

“The EU should not only compensate producers somehow, be they Polish, Slovak, Hungarian or Greek, who now have to suffer losses, but the entire sanctions policy should be reconsidered,” the Hungarian Prime Minister said, saying he is already looking for support to force through changes.  Continue reading . . .

Awakening to higher states of consciousness is the process by which a person, or a collective, can re-organize their identity from an ego-centric material orientation to a level of awareness that is capable of holding many perspectives.

Only with an evolution in awareness can we discover the ever-greater aspects of ourselves.

Consciousness might be described as the quality or state of awareness that human beings have of themselves, their environment and their surroundings, including sensation, thought, feeling and intuition. Consciousness functions on many levels, including the dream states, the sub-conscious mind, the ever-present observer mind, waking consciousness, and many meditative and spiritual states of awareness. HeinzTomatoKetchupDid you know that your Heinz ketchup, which the company claims is ‘all natural,’ is really full of toxic, genetically modified ingredients? It’s bursting with GM corn, which contains at least 5 things that really shouldn’t be in a food condiment.

Heinz was also sued for advertising their distilled white vinegar as ‘all natural’ when it contains genetically modified corn. Representation for the complaint filed in California said:

“Heinz’s representations were false, deceptive, misleading and unfair to consumers, who were injured in fact by purchasing products that the defendants had claimed were “all natural.”

Further, Heinz is one of the many junk food companies who have given tons of money to defeat GMO labeling campaigns in both Washington and California. They’ve spent over $500,000 so far to keep you from knowing what is in your food. Continue reading →
