Conspiracy Theorists USED TO Be Accepted As Normal

cartoon_conspiracytheoryDemocracy and free market capitalism were founded on conspiracy theories.

The Magna Carta, the Constitution and Declaration of Independence and other  founding Western documents were based on conspiracy theories. Greek democracy and free market capitalism were also based on conspiracy theories.

But those were the bad old days …Things have now changed.

The CIA Coined the Term Conspiracy Theorist In 1967

That all changed in the 1960s.

Specifically, in April 1967, the CIA wrote a dispatch which coined the term “conspiracy theories” … and recommended methods for discrediting such theories.  The dispatch was marked “psych” –  short for “psychological operations” or disinformation –  and “CS” for the CIA’s “Clandestine Services” unit.

The dispatch was produced in responses to a Freedom of Information Act request by the New York Times in 1976.

The dispatch states:

2. This trend of opinion is a matter of concern to the U.S. government, including our organization.

***

The aim of this dispatch is to provide material countering and discrediting the claims of the conspiracy theorists, so as to inhibit the circulation of such claims in other countries. Background information is supplied in a classified section and in a number of unclassified attachments.

3. Action. We do not recommend that discussion of the [conspiracy] question be initiated where it is not already taking place. Where discussion is active addresses are requested:

Record US Farmers Switching to Non-GMO Crops in 2015

“Non-GMO is More Profitable.”

NonGMO-CornTestSiteThis is the rising sentiment among farmers of the US as a confluence of factors urges them to become pro-organic. From falling GMO grain prices to a rising tide of public distrust of genetically modified ingredients, failing GMO traits, higher GMO seed prices, and the premium prices that people willingly pay for quality food over toxic junk, the conventional farmer is changing his tune when it comes to Big Ag practices.

Even if profit is the cornerstone on which this change is based, it is still telling. After all, experts project over $35 billion in sales for organic, non-GMO foods in 2015, and as GMO corn, soy and other GM grain prices rise, along with the costs to grow them (associated with more pesticide and herbicide use to control super weeds, for example) farmers are looking past the GMO propaganda which promised higher yields and more cash for farmers who grew their poison crops.

This phenomenon is explained clearly in  “The Genetic Engineering of Food and the Failure of Science” (full text available for download here) published in The International Journal of Sociology of Agriculture and Food.

These Simple Physical Signs Could Indicate A Nutrient Deficiency

FingernailIt’s wise to consult a holistic physician, chiropractor, orthomolecular (mega-dose supplements instead of pharmaceuticals) practitioner, naturopath or other holistic practitioner who is conversant with nutritional health if you’re feeling “blah,” not with it or in poor health. But in lieu of those resources, there are some telltale guidelines that may help you determine which areas you need to supplement more. Of course, one needs to stay away from the standard American diet of processed and fast foods and instead eat locally grown, chemical-free organic food as much as possible.

Some plant foods may be cost-prohibitive. Then at least use the Earth Working Group (EWG) to determine what conventional crops are the least chemically sprayed to buy. Organic dairy products should be from non-rBGH- or antibiotic-injected grass-fed cows, goats or sheep.

Raw milk is the healthiest, as are truly free-range chicken eggs. Minimize meat and stick with organic grass-fed cows humanely treated and not injected with hormones and antibiotics. All this may be pricier, but isn’t your health more valuable?

Physical signs of nutritional deficiencies

As with foods, your supplement choices should be as high quality as possible. Do your research on product choices.

Heart: Irregular heart beat may indicate a magnesium deficiency. High blood pressure can be remedied with lots of ascorbic acid and L-lysine daily. General heart health can be bolstered with CoQ10 or Ubiquinol.

‘Clean Labels’: How Manufacturers Are Hiding How Your Food Was Made

CleanLabelInsightsWhat we eat is a much more intricate subject that it might first appear.

Behind the labels are many troubling issues… and GMOs are just the tip of the iceberg.

The London Guardian carried this interest piece revealing how so much of our foods – even the most natural in appearance – are engineered, manufactured and packaged with invisible processing ‘ingredients’ derived from sophisticated lab processes.

Now, as the food manufacturing industry is keeping up with consumer demand, scary sounding and artificial looking ingredients are increasingly fading from food packages. But as the London Guardian makes clear in this expose from a food ingredients exposition, it is not always because the quality or ingredients improved, but instead because the industry has embarked upon a “clean label” initiative to derive substitutes that fly under the radar of current regulations or – like ‘extract of rosemary’ – sound benign compared with previous industry solutions like butylhydroxyanisole (BHA), which has been classified as a ‘reasonably anticipated human carcinogen,’ despite assurances by many that it is safe in small doses.

Here are just a few segments of Joanna Blythman’s piece, Inside the food industry: the surprising truth about what you eat, well worth a full read for its peek inside your grocery store, food cabinet and assortment of convenience foods: Continue reading

Take The Growth, And Truly Be Done

GingkoBilobaFlowerSkyAll those in physical reality seek the ideal probability as they move through life. Most wish to define it as an easy one, filled with countless positive dramatics.

The truth of it lies in the balance of positive and negative experience. The ego of the physical self hopes to maneuver between negative dramatics without much chaos. However, sometimes self created chaos can glean more spiritual awareness and growth.

The ability to achieve that balance can be elusive. We suggest deciding to face the negative head on. Make the uncomfortable often painful moments worth the effort to get through it.

Examine it all carefully to be able to know what the lesson is. Pay attention to what has been created for your growth. To ignore it, the possibility of creating a perpetual loop of dramatics is probable. Continue reading
