RIP: Over 100 newspapers dumped in year, ads down 50%, circulation hits bottom

Paul Bedard – The demise of big city print media, displayed in full by the painfully slow sale of the mammoth New York Daily News, is going nationwide as ad sales decline 50 percent and circulation plummets, according to a new Pew Research Center analysis

According to their report, “The Declining Value Of U.S. Newspapers,” just three different media companies in 2014 alone decided to dump more than 100 newspaper properties. Pew said the companies spun off the money-losing properties “in large part to protect their still-robust broadcast or digital divisions.”

The Daily News, on the block since February, has yet to be sold and is now being eyed by Captiol Hill’s newspaper The Hill, which may turn it into a digital operation like the Washington Examiner, Huffington Post, Brietbart and the Daily Caller.

The Pew report is short and very unsweet:

Over the past two decades, major newspapers across the country have seen a recurring cycle of ownership changes and steep declines in value. Continue reading

Weather Modification Causing Global Climate Chaos and Environmental Catastrophe

What major factor causing “Climate Change” are they not telling us about?

geoengineeringDane Wigington – More alarming articles and studies are surfacing each day which confirm the rapidly changing state of Earth’s life support systems and climate. Humanity has decimated the planet in countless ways and the repercussions are becoming catastrophic.

Though there are certainly many parts to this unfolding story, the largest piece of the puzzle by far still goes completely unacknowledged by most of the scientific community and all of the mainstream media-corporate-military-industrial complex. The massive elephant in the room has been, and still is, “stratospheric aerosol geoengineering” (SAG) also known as “solar radiation management” (SRM).

What Is Stratospheric Aerosol Geoengineering and Why Is It So Dangerous?

Stratospheric aerosol geoengineering is a primary term for the ongoing global climate modification programs being conducted by major powers around the world. “Aerosols” is simply a term for a microscopic particle that is suspended in the air. A primary stated goal of the geoengineering programs is to provide a “solar shield” to slow “runaway climate change” by spraying tens of millions of tons of highly toxic metal nano particulates (a nanometer is 1/1,000,000,000 of a meter) into the atmosphere from jet aircraft.

Is the spraying only for solar radiation management? Based on available data, there are a number of known objectives including but not limited to SRM, weather warfare, over the horizon radar enhancement, controlling food production, and probable biological testing. There are likely many more aspects and agendas related to the atmospheric spraying which we can not yet know. Continue reading

Area Around Fukushima Is Now A Radioactive Wasteland That Will Be Uninhabitable For Decades

David Gutierrez – A foreign correspondent whose career consists of traveling to dangerous regions around the world has called the area around Fukushima, Japan, one of the most hopeless places he has ever visited, likening it to a “post apocalyptic ghost town.”

“I have seen abandoned villages before; most times there is a sense of finality to them,” writes Arglit Boonyai, host of the weekly Channel NewsAsia show Danger Zone. “It is as though the town’s time is up and the people have moved on. Fukushima is nothing like that. It’s like time just stopped.”

Danger Zone
is a show about Boonyai’s visits to some of the world’s most dangerous places in order to try to understand of how ordinary people cope with living there. In addition to Fukushima, he has previously traveled to Iraq and into the heart of the Liberian Ebola epidemic.

Herculean cleanup effort

In March 2011, Japan was devastated by a massive earthquake and tsunami, which then triggered multiple meltdowns at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. Explosions at the plant sent a massive plume of radioactive material spreading across the surrounding countryside. Continue reading

Spiritual Honesty: Why Good Thinking And Bad Feelings Matter

“To learn about spirituality, to become spiritual, you have to give up all you think is spiritual.”

honestyJack Adam Weber – Without honesty, we live in disaccord with reality, which bears all kinds of hidden problems. Honesty is truth, and refers to the accurate perception of ourselves, each other, and the outside world.

We can only heal to the degree that we are honest, for what goes unnoticed, especially inside us, will remain largely unchanged. Our spirituality is no exception. In this vein, I will first discuss intellectual and emotional honesty as a build-up to spiritual honesty. So, please bear with me while I set the stage for this fruit of our best-used inner resources.

Intellectual Honesty

Intellectual Honesty is our capacity to notice and accurately report to ourselves and others what is true in the world, what is true of ourselves and our own logic (if it is internally consistent), and what we honestly believe. Intellectual honesty relies on our subjective capacity to level-headedly assess what is most likely true, what is factual, which is another way of describing rationality and self-evident common sense.

Some things we all consider to be true. This is called consensual, objective reality. Drinking poison will hurt you. Lying to others for our gain at another’s expense is hurtful. Abusing children is damaging and not compassionate. Unless you are a psychopath, we all hold these to be true. Good science and self-evident common sense inform us of objective truths. We now know the Earth is not flat, that it revolves around the sun and that gravity is an invisible force that causes things to fall to Earth. This all pertains to fact, to intellectual honesty.
