Frankly, I felt that the father who stated that the 2nd amendment did not take priority over his son’s right to live. Also, I have lived 76 years and watched the world change now having things we could not even imagine. The writers of the 2nd amendment could not even dream of assault weapons being in the hands of any individual who wanted them, nor did they have mass murders in schools. As the world changes, so must the rules. It is time.
Hi Lillian, you’re right that they couldn’t conceive of the weaponry but they correctly conceived of the TYRANNY that was possible if the people were unarmed. They foresaw NDAA, TSA, fascism, and the criminal congress that is controlled by lobbyists and the monied elite class, and NOT the people. Blessings, G
