The Religious/Political Poisoning of America

Bob Johnson – The Deist Henry Jones, M.D. is a strong believer in people helping themselves and only embracing rational altruism and sacrifice and not blind altruism and sacrifice. He articulates this important point very well in his eBook Psychological Evolution and the Invention of Evil: A Scientific Exposition.

israelA recent poll shows how Dr. Jones is right. The Bloomberg Politics Poll of Democrats, Republicans and independents shows that 45% of Americans believe the US should support the Jewish state of Israel “even if our interests diverge.” They believe in putting the interests of Israelis and Israel above the interests of Americans and America. This is amazing and very dangerous for Americans, America and the world.

When a nation as powerful as the US puts the interests of a foreign nation that is based on the religious violence promoting Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, as Israel is, above all else including its own well-being, only bad things can happen. Bad things such as the US turning a blind eye to Israel’s aggression against its neighbors; Israel’s religious violence in the form of the decades old growing illegal Israeli occupation of Palestinian land; the cowardly Israeli sneak attack on the USS Liberty which killed 34 American sailors and Marines and wounded 171 others; the Jewish state’s murdering American citizens as it did Rachel Corrie and Furkan Dogan; Israel possessing and growing a stockpile of nuclear weapons of mass destruction and a fleet of submarines to use for delivery virtually anywhere on our globe of these very real nuclear weapons, etc., etc., etc. ad nauseam.

A major reason so many Americans believe the US should put Israel above its own interests no matter how many lives or how many US tax dollars it costs is because millions of Christians believe the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament and the New Testament are God’s Word. They don’t stop and think with the innate reason God gave them. If they did, they would realize these books are not written or inspired by God, they are merely the writings of ancient Hebrews/Jews. That is why they teach the lie that God chose the Jews “above all people that are upon the face of the earth” (Deuteronomy 7:6). That is why they teach that God will destroy any Gentile nation that will not serve the Jewish state of Israel (Isaiah 60:12). The list goes on and on. (For a more extensive list of Jewish superiority found in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament click here.)

Zionist Christian John Hagee has a page titled “Why Christians Should Support Israel.” Since it is Bible-based it has a lot of carrot and the stick flawed reasoning. For example the first reason is based on reward and punishment, just as Christianity itself is. You become a Christian so you can get a reward of eternal life in heaven and you avoid eternal punishment in hell.

Judaism won a major psychological victory over Gentiles by getting
them to believe God wrote the above statement and not realizing that it is merely
from the minds of ancient Hebrews/Jews.

Likewise, the Jews who wrote the Bible promised blessings to those Gentiles who served Jews and Israel and threatened those who did not with curses. Hagee writes for his number one reason to support Jews and Israel, “Genesis 12:3 ‘And I will bless them that bless thee and curse him that curseth thee; and in thee shall all nations of the earth be blessed.’ Point: God has promised to bless the man or nation that blesses the Chosen People. History has proven beyond reasonable doubt that the nations that have blessed the Jewish people have had the blessing of God; the nations that have cursed the Jewish people have experienced the curse of God.” History proves Hagee and his Bible wrong. A good example is America. The US had more liberty and freedom in thought and belief than any other nation. It had material wealth and a high standard of living for most of its people. That was without giving Jews any preferential treatment at all and it was prior to Israel becoming a nation once again. Now that the US is kowtowing to the Jewish state, America is bogged down in wars against Israel’s enemies in the Middle East. Wars that are costing the US dearly in the loss of American lives, finances and morality. As the US treasury is drained, so is the US becoming more morally bankrupt by foolishly and blindly supporting Israel in its ever increasing bloody Bible-based occupation of Palestinian lands.

If American’s valued their own history they would know that believing the Jews are God’s chosen people is not only wrong, but it’s an insult to God. The American founder and Deist, Thomas Paine, wrote in The Age of Reason:

Could we permit ourselves to suppose that the Almighty would distinguish any nation of people by the name of His chosen people, we must suppose that people to have been an example to all the rest of the world of the purest piety and humanity, and not such a nation of ruffians and cut-throats as the ancient Jews were; a people who, corrupted by and copying after such monsters and impostors as Moses and Aaron, Joshua, Samuel and David, had distinguished themselves above all others on the face of the known earth for barbarity and wickedness. If we will not stubbornly shut our eyes and steel our hearts, it is impossible not to see, in spite of all that long-established superstition imposes upon the mind, that the flattering appellation of His chosen people is no other than a lie which the priests and leaders of the Jews had invented to cover the baseness of their own characters, and which Christian priests, sometimes as corrupt and often as cruel, have professed to believe.

Perhaps one way we can help people break this dangerous spell the Bible put on them that motivates them to bring about their own destruction for the advancement of the Jewish state of Israel can be found in the Deist Albert Einstein. Einstein was born a Jew but rejected Judaism. He rejected the lie found in the Bible that the Jews are God’s chosen people. Einstein wrote, “For me the Jewish religion like all other religions is an incarnation of the most childish superstition. And the Jewish people to whom I gladly belong … have no different quality for me than all other people. As far as my experience goes, they are also no better than other human groups, although they are protected from the worst cancers by a lack of power” (now that they have the nuclear Jewish state of Israel they are exhibiting the most severe “cancers”). “Otherwise I cannot see anything ‘chosen’ about them.”

This type of rational thinking coming from someone with a Jewish background who is held in such high regard by the vast majority of people could influence many of the Christians who are under the dangerous delusion that the Jews and Israel are chosen by God above all the rest of us. People who believe this lie to the extent of wanting to put the interests of Jews and Israel above their own interests. Since the first law of Nature and life is self-preservation, and since these laws are a part of the Designer’s/God’s designs, by putting the well being of Israel and Jews above that of their own, these Zionist Christians are violating a law from their Creator/God.

Two more ideas/quotes from Einstein could spur sincere people to think about the idea of Israel over all. One is Albert Einstein describing his take on Jews praying at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem during his 1923 trip to the city. Einstein wrote, “Where dull-witted clansmen of our tribe were praying aloud, their faces turned to the wall, their bodies swaying to and fro. A pathetic sight of men with a past but without a future.” (This brings out the mindset of the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament based warmongering neocons. The founder of the neoconservative movement, the Jew Leo Strauss, wrote, “Judaism is a concern with return; it is not a concern with progress. ‘Return’ can easily be expressed in biblical Hebrew; ‘progress’ cannot.”)

The other is what Einstein wrote regarding the new Jewish state of Israel’s relationship with its Arab neighbors. Einstein wrote, “Should we be unable to find a way to honest cooperation and honest pacts with the Arabs, then we have learned absolutely nothing during our 2,000 years of suffering and deserve all that will come to us.”

Bob Johnson is a freelance writer in the Tampa area of Florida. He was raised Roman Catholic, but after a stint in Marine Corps Infantry and reading Thomas Paine’s The Age of Reason he became a Deist.  In 1993 he founded the World Union of Deists, and in 1996 he launched the first website devoted to Deism. He is the author of God Gave Us Reason, Not Religion, Deism: A Revolution in Religion, A Revolution in You and An Answer to C.S. Lewis’ Mere Christianity. He has also written the introduction to Thomas Paine’s The Age of Reason, The Complete Edition and Principles of Nature by Elihu Palmer.
