Deconstructing John Kerry’s Big Lies on CNN

russiaStephen Lendman – Launched in 1980 by Ted Turner as a cable news network, CNN transformed itself into an imperial mouthpiece when America goes to war.

During the current US presidential campaign, endless one-sided pro-Hillary/anti-Trump coverage dominates its programming, deplorable stuff featured not fit to air. It’s hard imagining why anyone wastes time watching. Other cable news channels are no better, air-time filled with worthless trash.

On Monday, CNN interviewed John Kerry, giving him a platform to misinform, deceive and lie like he always does, largely on Syria – Obama’s war CNN never explains, nor do other media scoundrels.

Kerry took full advantage, CNN never challenging his turning truth on its head – ignoring US war crimes, its support for ISIS and other terrorist groups, blaming Assad for America partnering with other rogue states, raping Syria for over five years, massacring its people, undermining Russia’s forthright efforts for ceasefire and conflict resolution.

Russia “need(s) to stop Assad from bombing people indiscriminately,” Kerry ranted. “(H)e doesn’t want a ceasefire…continu(ing) to go after opposition (forces) pretending that they are Nusra (US-supported al-Qaeda in Syria).”

Fact: All anti-government militants in Syria are US-backed terrorists, waging war on its people, Assad responsibly doing his job along with Russia combating them.

Kerry: “(W)e call on Russia to stop the grandstanding, stop the showboating, and get the humanitarian assistance going.”

Fact: US-supported terrorists block it, aided by Pentagon warplanes, Assad and Russia wrongfully blamed for their high crimes.

Kerry: Russia’s ally Syria “is the single biggest blockade to the ability to move forward…And the opposition feels threatened because the bombs continue even as there is supposed to be a cessation of hostilities.”

Fact: During Russia/US agreed on ceasefire, “opposition” terrorists violated it over 300 times in seven days. Syrian forces alone observed it, committing no breaches.

Kerry dismissively referred to US warplanes willfully and maliciously massacring Syrian forces last Saturday as “the kind of terrible thing that happened,” denying a US war crime, passing it off an accidental, unfortunate incident.

(I)t happens when you have a conflict,” he added – failing to explain US premeditated naked aggression against a nonbelligerent nation threatening no one.

“…Russia needs to show that it is actually committed to a genuine ceasefire and not to gamesmanship,” Kerry added.

Washington remains irreconcilably hostile to Moscow, regime change its longterm objective, war its main strategy of choice.

Russia believing diplomatic negotiations with Washington can resolve geopolitical differences is pure fantasy. Empires don’t work with other nations cooperatively, forcing their will on them instead, notably America in geopolitical dealings.

Russia needs to pursue its own interests – responsibly and in compliance with international laws and norms, knowing it’ll never have normal relations with Washington as long as it protects and preserves its sovereign independence.

Believing otherwise is self-delusion.

  1. Thanks for telling the truth on today’s issues, so many honest trusting souls are being mislead and manipulated the same way I was before. Its hard to face the fact that our government leaders are treasonous lying scum. We were told they had integrity and honor, we were sold a bag of lies. America and the world deserve better than the crooks leading our nations, into death and destruction endless needless wars for plunder.

    1. Hi sweet Essie! Thanks for commenting. You’re right! It’s actually way PAST time for these disreputable, deplorable moronic scumbags to cease and desist their machinations from “high” office. -g
