How To Cleanse Your Aura

auraDanielle Fagan – We may brush our teeth, wash our hands, and bathe our bodies every day, but not many of us know how to keep energetically clean. If we’re living a balanced lifestyle, this should happen naturally. When we’re overworked, malnourished, and sleep deprived, however, our energetic hygiene can get neglected.

Why is this important? Because when we look at our bodies under a strong enough microscope, we see that we’re essentially made up of atoms– which is energy. An organism’s energy is not restricted to just its physical form but extends outward in an egg shape. The egg shaped energy is what we call the aura and it can be witnessed using Kirlian photography. Just like the body, the aura needs to be taken care of to ensure optimum health.

If your aura needs to be cleansed you may feel:

  • Lethargic
  • Depressed
  • Anxious
  • A “heavy” feeling over or around you

By cleansing your aura daily (ideally in the morning and night), you rid yourself of negative energies that you’ve picked up from your environment or the people around you. Continue reading

How to Make Your Own Hand Sanitizer – 2 Easy Recipes!

sanitizer Alex ‘Earthie Mama’ Du Toit – Fact: Commercial hand sanitizers are chemically-scented and made with toxic ingredients. While, yes, they do kill certain bacteria and viruses, the unfortunate byproduct is that these chemicals also seep into the pores of the skin and are absorbed into the bloodstream.

The primary active ingredients in commercial sanitizers are Ethyl alcohol and Isopropyl alcohol. [1] Isopropyl alcohol is a petrochemical that is commonly used as an industrial solvent. It is a well-known neurotoxin, meaning it is toxic to the human brain and nervous system. [2] Ethyl alcohol, also known as ethanol or grain alcohol, is both neurotoxic and psychoactive. [3]

Thankfully there are natural sanitizer alternatives that can help keep you and your children’s hands clean and germ-free, without damaging your nervous system in the process. And today I’m going to share with you two simple recipes I came up with that are effective and very easy to make at home! The first one is a gel and the other one is a spray. They both work great, it just depends on your preference.

But first, the “dirty” truth…

Just like the muscles in our body, the immune system needs to be exercised in order to fully develop and become strong enough to resist illness and disease. Research into the connection between getting dirty and immune system health has found that our society’s modern obsession with germs and cleanliness might be leading to the rise in allergies [4], asthma and inflammatory bowel disease. Make Your Own Bug-Away Spray (Easy Recipe)

Alex (Earthie Mama) Du Toit – Commercial insect repellents are so incredibly toxic with dangerous chemicals such as DEET (diethyltoluamide). As an Earthie Mama I want to make sure that my children only have the most natural ingredients on their skin. While living in Costa Rica, I had to figure out how to protect my family naturally from the overwhelming amounts of bugs.

sprayToday I will share with you how simply you can make your own bug-away spray.

This recipe can be made very simply with your choice of essential oil/s and a ‘carrier’ oil or alcohol. Rub or spray the natural insect repellent onto skin or clothing, using care to avoid the sensitive eye area. You’ll need to re-apply after a few hours or when you feel like the bugs are biting. Unused natural insect repellent may be stored in a dark bottle, away from heat or sunlight. If you wish, you may combine the oil with aloe vera gel to change the consistency to more of a spreadable lotion.
