The Intercept Censors Greenwald’s Content. He resigns

Glenn Greenwald

Joe Martino – Glenn Greenwald is the instrumental journalist who worked with Edward Snowden to put together his story and release it to the world. At the time working with the Guardian, Glenn eventually left to co-found his own media company, The Intercept, that would not be hindered in reporting on government corruption and the wrong doings of powerful people. Now, he has resigned from The Intercept because they have just censored him.

Many imagine our world is filled with corruption, hear of it sometimes, but often don’t quite see how far it goes because media is complicit in covering it up on behalf of those in power. We are seeing this today with the Hunter Biden laptop situation. Every journalist should be trying to find out what’s going on here. After all, the evidence is pretty incriminating that ‘the big guy’ mentioned in multiple emails and letters connected to the Biden family could very well be Joe Biden, meaning he is taking illegal money from shady deals with foreign interests.

Why should people not know about this? Why is the media and social media coordinating to hide all of this information and not properly investigating? Continue reading

Liberal RussiaGate Skeptics Do Victory Lap [Video]

democratsAlexandra Bruce – Little known outside the Twitterverse because they’ve been shunned by the Seditionist Mainstream Media are the handful of Liberals who have rejected the Russia Collusion narrative from day one, including Glenn Greenwald, Tim Pool, Michael Tracey, Jimmy Dore and Aaron Maté.

A vindicated Maté joins Jimmy Dore’s YouTube broadcast for a “victory lap” about the nothing burger Mueller Report, which quickly becomes a discussion about how destructive this deranged Clintonista campaign has been for the Democrats. Theirs is a very intelligent discussion that is really worth listening to.

I’ve been telling friends throughout this period that Poppy Bush couldn’t have done a better job of destroying the Democrat Party if he’d tried and the more I thought about it, the more I realized that the Clintons and the Obamas are part of the same corrupt machine sometimes known as the Bush Crime Family, along with the Never Trumpers and the other corrupt officials who have sustained this treasonous ruse for going on three years. The Big Secret Behind The Spying Program

Spying Is Meant to Crush Citizens’ Dissent, Not Catch Terrorists

greenwaldWhile many Americans understand why the NSA is conducting mass surveillance of U.S. citizens, some are still confused about what’s really going on.

In his new book, No Place to Hide, Glenn Greenwald writes:

The perception that invasive surveillance is confined only to a marginalised and deserving group of those “doing wrong” – the bad people – ensures that the majority acquiesces to the abuse of power or even cheers it on. But that view radically misunderstands what goals drive all institutions of authority. “Doing something wrong” in the eyes of such institutions encompasses far more than illegal acts, violent behaviour and terrorist plots. It typically extends to meaningful dissent and any genuine challenge. It is the nature of authority to equate dissent with wrongdoing, or at least with a threat.

The record is suffused with examples of groups and individuals being placed under government surveillance by virtue of their dissenting views and activism – Martin Luther King, the civil rights movement, anti-war activists, environmentalists. In the eyes of the government and J Edgar Hoover’s FBI, they were all “doing something wrong”: political activity that threatened the prevailing order.

The FBI’s domestic counterintelligence programme, Cointelpro, was first exposed by a group of anti-war activists who had become convinced that the anti-war movement had been infiltrated, placed under surveillance and targeted with all sorts of dirty tricks. Lacking documentary evidence to prove it and unsuccessful in convincing journalists to write about their suspicions, they broke into an FBI branch office in Pennsylvania in 1971 and carted off thousands of documents. Propaganda Rules The News

PaulCraigRoberts  March 5 2014

PaulCraigRobertsGerald Celente calls the Western media “presstitutes,” an ingenuous term that I often use. Presstitutes sell themselves to Washington for access and government sources and to keep their jobs. Ever since the corrupt Clinton regime permitted the concentration of the US media, there has been no journalistic independence in the United States except for some Internet sites.

Glenn Greenwald points out the independence that RT, a Russian media organization, permits Abby Martin who denounced Russia’s alleged invasion of Ukraine, compared to the fates of Phil Donahue (MSNBC) and Peter Arnett (NBC), both of whom were fired for expressing opposition to the Bush regime’s illegal attack on Iraq. The fact that Donahue had NBC’s highest rated program did not give him journalistic independence. Anyone who speaks the truth in the American print or TV media or on NPR is immediately fired.

Russia’s RT seems actually to believe and observe the values that Americans profess but do not honor.

I agree with Greenwald. You can read his article here: Greenwald is entirely admirable. He has intelligence, integrity, and courage. He is one of the brave to whom my just published book, How America Was Lost, is dedicated. As for RT’s Abby Martin, I admire her and have been a guest on her program a number of times.

My criticism of Greenwald and Martin has nothing to do with their integrity or their character. I doubt the claims that Abby Martin grandstanded on “Russia’s invasion of Ukraine” in order to boost her chances of moving into the more lucrative “mainstream media.” My point is quite different. Even Abby Martin and Greenwald, both of whom bring us much light, cannot fully escape Western propaganda.

The Secret Playbook Of Social Media Censors – The “Counter Reset”

Global Research  February 26 2014

CounterResetGlenn Greenwald’s piece on manipulation of the Internet by intelligence agencies gives examples – based upon documents leaked by Edward Snowden – of how governments disrupt social media websites.

Other whistleblowers have provided very specific information about how agents disrupt social media news sites.

This essay will focus one specific technique: the “Counter Reset”.

To explain the Counter Reset technique, we have to understand the concepts of “momentum” and “social proof”.

Specifically, the government spends a great deal of manpower and money to monitor which stories, memes and social movements are developing the momentum to actually pose a threat to the status quo. For example, the Federal Reserve, Pentagon, Department of Homeland Security, and other agencies all monitor social media for stories critical of their agencies … or the government in general. Other governments – and private corporations – do the same thing.

Why?

Because a story gaining momentum ranks high on social media sites. So it has a high probability of bursting into popular awareness, destroying the secrecy which allows corruption, and becoming a real challenge to the powers-that-be.
