More governments around the world are moving to accept natural medicine

– In Switzerland, health insurance plans are on the cusp of covering homeopathy, herbal medicine, acupuncture, holistic care and traditional Chinese medicine. In 2009, two-thirds of the Swiss spoke out in favor of incorporating these important and long suppressed healthcare strategies into their healthcare system. By May 2017, all these great healthcare methods will be included in Switzerland’s constitutional list of paid health services.

Will health insurance plans around the world begin competing to incorporate holistic healthcare strategies?

Health insurance plans have long been used to cover the costs of only interventions and drugs, encouraging system dependency. If more of these payment plans started covering preventative medicine and holistic approaches, pharmaceutical drug use and medical interventions would be drastically reduced, thus lowering the cost of healthcare for all. Could Switzerland’s powerful change in health insurance coverage be the beginning of a healthy future for millions?

The Top 24 Anti-Inflammatory Foods

Mae Chan – Researchers at the University of South Carolina, including James Hebert, ScD, and Philip Cavicchia, PhD, scored foods and food components thought to positively or negatively affect levels of inflammation, based on a review of peer-reviewed studies relating to diet and inflammation inflammation that were published between 1950 and 2007. Since then, new research is bringing the index closer to “prime time”– ready to be used in epidemiological and clinical studies.

While each plant has its own twist, all are based on the general concept that constant or out-of-control inflammation in the body leads to ill health, and that eating to avoid constant inflammation promotes better health and can ward off disease, says Russell Greenfield, MD, a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

“It’s very clear that inflammation plays a role much more than we thought with respect to certain maladies,” Greenfield stated.

“We always thought anything with an “itis” at the end involved inflammation,” he says, such as arthritis or appendicitis. But even the illnesses without an “itis” at the end, such as cardiovascular disease, certain cancers, even Alzheimer’s disease, may be triggered in part by inflammation, he says.

It is becoming increasingly clear that chronic inflammation may be at the root cause of many serious illnesses.

Carbohydrates, fat and cholesterol are among the food components most likely to encourage inflammation, while magnesium, beta-carotene, vitamins A, B-6, C, D and E, fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, flavonoids, turmeric and tea were the strongest anti-inflammatories.

Big Pharma and Organized Crime — They are More Similar Than You May Think

It is scary how many similarities there are between this [pharmaceutical] industry and the mob. The mob makes obscene amounts of money, as does this industry. The side effects of organized crime are killings and deaths, and the side effects are the same in this industry. The mob bribes politicians and others, and so does the drug industry … ~ former Vice-President of Pfizer pharmaceuticals ¹

medicalCarolanne Wright – If you believe  pharmaceutical corporations hold the health of the general public in high regard, it’s time to reconsider. The industry is filled with examples of wrongful death, extortion, fraud, corruption, obstruction of justice, embezzlement, fake journals, harassment and hit lists that would make even the most hardened Mafia godfather blush. Big Pharma has been fined billions by the U.S. Department of Justice, but these enormous fines don’t curb the corruption, it’s just looked upon as “the cost of doing business,” similar to paying the utilities.

As a physician and researcher, Peter C Gøtzsche has firsthand experience with the criminality behind the pharmaceutical industry — and subsequently exposed the massive fraud in “Deadly Medicines and Organized Crime: How Big Pharma Has Corrupted Healthcare.

Dangerous Science

Dr. Gøtzsche has an impressive clinical background, as noted by The Nordic Cochrane Center — a not-for-profit organization that produces credible, accessible health information that is free from commercial sponsorship and other conflicts of interest:

Professor Peter C Gøtzsche graduated as a Master of Science in biology and chemistry in 1974 and as a physician 1984. He is a specialist in internal medicine; worked with clinical trials and regulatory affairs in the drug industry 1975-1983, and at hospitals in Copenhagen 1984-95. With about 80 others, he helped start The Cochrane Collaboration in 1993 with the founder, Sir Iain Chalmers, and established The Nordic Cochrane Centre the same year. He became professor of Clinical Research Design and Analysis in 2010 at the University of Copenhagen. Continue reading

Why Should You Use Zucchini in Salads Like Its Famous Sibling, The Cucumber

Vineetha Reddy – We are all aware of the health benefits of cucumber. It has calorific value as low as 15 calories per 100g and hence does not contribute to weight gain. It has high fibre content and helps solve digestion problems. Cucumbers have high water content, so it helps detoxify your body as well as does not let you feel hungry. There is, however, one other fruit that resembles cucumber both in its nutritional values as well as its appearance. You guessed it correctly! It’s Zucchini! are a relative of the cucumber and belong to the Cucurbitaceae family. They are also called Courgette and are found in various shapes and sizes. Their colour ranges from light green to dark green and yellow! The peel of zucchini is dry and rough, unlike that of cucumber which is soft and waxy. Zucchinis have more nutritional value than cucumbers and are a great addition to salads. Here are some reasons why:

  1. High Folate Content: Folates or folic acid is a water soluble vitamin B essential for cell division and DNA (Deoxy-Ribonucleic Acid) synthesis, and zucchinis contain moderate amounts of folates. If you increase your daily intake of zucchinis during pregnancy, it can help reduce chances of birth defects of the central nervous system. Zucchinis also help your body metabolism, aid protein and nucleic acid synthesis. The proteins and nucleic acid helps in tissue formation and maintenance. Zucchinis are responsible for 6% of your recommended dietary allowance (RDA).

  2. Low Calorie And High Fibre: Zucchinis also have very low calorific value. They contain only 17 calories per 100g. So, if you are on a weight loss diet, you should think of zucchinis as your new best friend. They have no saturated cholesterol that can get deposited in your blood vessels and aggravate high blood pressure symptoms. Also, the peel has 3.2g of fibre per 100g, making zucchini a rich source of dietary fibre like fibre present in cabbage. Zucchinis, therefore, help reduce irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), constipation and also minimises risks of colon cancer.

Opinion: Joe Biden’s Son Beau Was Killed By Chemotherapy And Glyphosate

cancerMike Adams – Joe Biden’s son Beau died yesterday at the age of just 46. Here at Natural News, our hearts go out to anyone suffering such a horrible tragedy, and we extend our condolences to the entire Biden family. In this moment of tragedy and grief, however, we must have the courage to ask important questions like “Could his cancer have been prevented?” “Can we help prevent cancer in other people so that they don’t suffer the same tragic fate?”

Frustratingly, I believe that Beau Biden, like hundreds of thousands of other Americans each year, was killed by a combination of chemotherapy, radiation and glyphosate. “He was diagnosed with brain cancer in August 2013 and underwent surgery, radiation and chemotherapy,” reports Reuters. “After getting a ‘a clean bill of health’ in November of that year, his cancer recurred in the spring of 2015, the vice president’s office said.”

In other words, after being diagnosed with brain cancer, Beau underwent toxic chemotherapy — a treatment that causes permanent brain damage known as “chemo brain” — while enduring radiation treatment on top of that chemo. Oncologists who prescribe chemotherapy drugs earn massive profits from those drugs, all while failing to disclose their own conflicts of interest to their patients.

Chemotherapy causes cancer

Unfortunately, chemotherapy kills far more people than it saves because its primary side effect is recurring cancer. Yes, chemotherapy causes cancer. And the ignorant oncologists who prescribe it actively encourage patients to avoid protecting their healthy cells with nutritional therapies such as medicinal mushrooms, anti-cancer foods and healthy oils such as cod liver oil. In fact, oncology as practiced today is a barbaric medical practice that quite literally kills people by the hundreds of thousands each year. Continue reading
