Washington’s Blog ~ “The Targeting of Civilians Was Started By The Jewish Terrorist Groups”

“. . . the Zionist dream is based on the slaughter of—repeated slaughter of innocents on a scale that we’re watching these days on television, that is really a profound, profound crisis—and should be a profound crisis—in the thinking of all of us who were committed to the establishment of the state and to its success.” H Siegman

Here’s this must-watch Siegman interview which includes the quotes below:

Henry Siegman was executive director of the American Jewish Congress – long described as one of the nation’s “big three” Jewish organizations – for 16 years. Siegman – an ordained orthodox rabbi – was also the head of the Synagogue Council of America, and a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations.

Born in Germany three years before the Nazis came to power, Siegman’s family had to move from place to place to avoid Nazi persecution.  His father was a leader of the European Zionist movement that pushed for the creation of a Jewish state.

Last week, Siegman spoke about Israeli war crimes … at the very creation of the state of Israel:

Israel had, pre-state—in its pre-state stage, several terrorist groups that did exactly what Hamas does today. I don’t mean they sent rockets, but they killed innocent people. And they did that in an even more targeted way than these rockets do. Benny Morris published a book that is considered the Bible on that particular period … in the book Righteous Victims, in which he said—I recall, when I read it, I was shocked—in which he—particularly in his most recently updated book, which was based on some new information that the Israel’s Defense—the IDF finally had to open up and publish, that Israeli generals received direct instructions from Ben-Gurion during the War of Independence to kill civilians, or line them up against the wall and shoot them, in order to help to encourage the exodus, that in fact resulted, of 700,000 Palestinians, who were driven out of their—left their homes, and their towns and villages were destroyed.

The death toll in Gaza has hit over 1,600 since Israel launched operation Protective Edge on July 8. Stephen Lendman ~ Waging War While Talking Peace

SteveLendmansBlog March 6 2014

steveLendmanSham Israeli/Palestinian peace talks continue. They began last July. They’re supposed to conclude in April.

Palestine’s elected government wasn’t invited. It’s excluded from talks. Longtime Israeli collaborators represent Palestinians. They do so illegitimately.

Chance to resolve longstanding conflict is ZERO. Kerry’s so-called framework agreement is totally one-sided.

It solely favors Israel. It gives Palestinians nothing. It assures continued occupation harshness.

No legitimate Palestinian leader would accept what demands rejection. Reports from Washington, Tel Aviv and Ramallah say talks so far went nowhere.

What happens going forward remains to be seen. Israel deplores peace. It thrives on conflict and instability. Its enemies are ones it invents.

In 2013, Israeli warplanes bombed Syria at least six times. On February 24, they struck Hezbollah targets. They did so along Lebanon’s border with Syria.

Lebanon’s National News Agency confirmed it. Areas around Bekaa Valley’s Nabi Sheet and Janta were targeted.

Obama partners in Israeli aggression. Each country defends the other’s lawlessness.

On February 26, Hezbollah confirmed Israeli attacks. It vowed to respond “at the appropriate time” to the “blatant aggression.”

Israel lawlessly attacked “its sovereignty and territory,” it said. “It will not stand without a(n) (appropriate) response from the Resistance,” it added.

“This aggression did not, thank God, cause any deaths or injuries. There was only some material damage.”

It’s untrue that targets struck were “artillery positions or missiles.”

Evangelical Movement Aims To Move Away From Pro-Israel Stance [Video]

RT America  February 14 2014

There is a growing movement among evangelical Christians in the US that is moving away from what’s become the political norm associated with the religious group. It’s a shift away from a staunchly pro-Israel stance to a viewpoint that strengthens its alliance with Palestinians.

[youtube=http://youtu.be/91D9nZy5FbA&w=500]

Evangelical leaders say, in addition to theological reasons, the trend can be attributed to dissolution with one-sided, pro-Israel rhetoric in conservative politics. RT correspondent Liz Wahl speaks to religious leaders and the Palestinian Ambassador about the movement and why it’s gaining traction with younger evangelicals.

Stephen Lendman ~ Israel Wants Walls, Not Peace

Palestinians in Palestine

Imagine! Israel has no constitution. It has no declared borders. Its policies reflect racial and ethnic supremacy.

Lawless occupation harshness is longstanding. Belligerence is a way of life. Institutionalized racism is official policy. So is state terror.

Jews are afforded rights denied Muslims. Palestinians are viciously persecuted. Crimes of war, against humanity and slow-motion genocide persist daily.

They’re longstanding. They’re out-of-control. They continue during ongoing so-called peace talks. They’ve been dead on arrival for decades.

They’ll achieve nothing this time like before. Long time Israeli collaborators continue the charade. Sham talks deny reality.

Pretense substitutes for peace. The dirty charade persists. So does the worst of occupation harshness.

Imagine talking peace while prioritizing war. Imagine media scoundrels regurgitating the Big Lie.

Imagine them repeating it every time new talks begin. Imagine deceiving their readers disgracefully.

Israel gets Congress to endorse its ruthlessness. Edward Said once said it’s able to enlist virtual total Senate support in a matter a matter of hours. It’s nearly as strong in the House.

James Petras filled in important blanks. Israel buys influence. It “uses its financial firepower to dictate Congressional policy.” It’s to insure US lawmakers are in lockstep with its interests.

It buys politicians like toothpaste. It gets billions of dollars in US aid annually. It spends pennies on dollars received from all sources to get more.

It’s one of the most surefire rackets ever imagined. US tax dollars and other contributions are spent for greater amounts of them in return. Congressional largesse flows like water. Whatever Israel wants it gets.

Hundreds of congressional members are generously rewarded. Campaign contributions fill their coffers.

One hand washes the other. Influence buying is longstanding policy. It’s “blatant bribery” said Petras.

It should be “subject to felony prosecution and imprisonment for both parties.” In America, it’s business as usual. It’s considered legitimate lobbying.

Congress “resemble(s) a high-price brothel or white slavers’ auction,” said Petras. Wars serving Israel’s interests persist. Millions of lost lives don’t matter. It’s a small price to pay.

“Payola” matters more than peace. Zealots replace outliers. Corruption is deep-seated. Dirty politics persists. Both countries pretend to be democracies. Dark side reality explains otherwise.
