May 2022 Astrology Overview

May 2022 planetary updateJoseph P. Anthony – The season of change continues this month as a powerful Total Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio begins to transform and rebuild our finances and our authority structures. Last month on April 30th the Solar Eclipse in Taurus opened up a doorway over the next six month for us to change our values and beliefs with regards to money, power and possessions in our lives.

The sign of Taurus is all about getting back to the basics of life; it’s a heavy earth sign that values stability and reliability. Over the course of the next year we will want to simplify our lives, get rid of clutter, people and situations that don’t serve us anymore, and begin to view the world in a more practical matter, another words, getting back to the basics. April Is A High Energy Month

AriesJoseph P Anthony – Strap in because we have some strong cosmic energy this month. Its Aries season and that means action, new beginnings, pioneering spirit with a dash of spring cleaning thrown in for good measure. April will be quite a magical but intense time. The first half of the month features the coming-together of several planets in Pisces. Venus being the first followed by Mars, however, we will also see Jupiter perfectly conjunct with Neptune in Pisces as well. These transits in particular are the reason we are more inclined to have a more imaginative and idealistic month.

We have three lunations in April making this a very high-strung emotional month filled with surprises and change. The month starts off with a New Moon and ends the month with a New moon also called a Black Moon. A Black Moon is a quirk of the calendar and not a special astronomical event or even something you can see. Continue reading

Elemental Change

TaurusLorna Bevan – This is the run up to the 1st of 2021’s 4 Super Moons on April 26/27th – a Full Moon at 7° Scorpio on steroids at its closest to the earth anchoring an April 24-30 seismic window. Extra grounding, hydration, rest and time spent outdoors will help you avoid feeling fritzed and fried.

On Sunday April 18th, the Sun conjuncts Mercury in late Aries starting a new cycle of connection and communication. Then between April 19 – May 3 there is a palpable elemental shift from Fire to Earth as the Sun, Mercury, Black Moon Lilith and Venus conjunct the Great Awakener Uranus at 10° Taurus. When volatile Uranus is in the frame, anything can happen and probably will. There could be stock market volatility as Saturn in Aquarius squares the stellium. Continue reading

A Full Moon of Awakening and Radical Responsibility

full moon in taurusLeslie Benson – Saturday’s Full Moon in Taurus, coming to exact on Halloween, October 31st, at 7:49 am Pacific Time, is humming with electric shockwaves of awakening, inviting us to peer behind the veil, as appropriate for this seasonal timing, and to look beyond the superficial, into deep currents of our joint collective wounding and our society’s evolutionary journey.

This Full Moon is truly striking, most notably because of its nearly exact conjunction with Uranus, which will likely continue the widespread shake-up the world is experiencing, with many more surprising and sudden events of the fall still to come. Continue reading

April – A Month of Recovery, Recognition, and Transformation

aprilHenry Seltzer – This current month of April is in many ways a continuation of the intense transformational thrust of the previous thirty-one days of March, although Mercury is now in direct motion, and slowly recovering.

The first few days will feel very much like Mercury never even turned around, because of a unique circumstance: in the waning days of the previous month, Mercury stationed just ahead of mystical and otherworldly Neptune, so that a forming conjunction immediately took place. This dynamic aspect, with Mercury still slow-moving, stays partile or same-degree all the way through the third of April.

We will see further evidence of vague ungroundedness, idealism and illusion, and questioned perceptions. Then, two days later, the Aries New Moon makes close aspects with Neptune, including the Sun being contra-parallel to Neptune within one tenth of a degree. The first week of April is therefore likely to be a quite confusing time.
