If We Don’t Change the Way Money Is Created, Rising Inequality and Social Disorder Are Inevitable

moneyCharles Hugh Smith – History informs us that rising wealth and income inequality generate social disorder.

Centrally issued money optimizes inequality, monopoly, cronyism, stagnation and systemic instability.

Everyone who wants to reduce wealth and income inequality with more regulations and taxes is missing the key dynamic: central banks’ monopoly on creating and issuing money widens wealth inequality, as those with access to newly issued money can always outbid the rest of us to buy the engines of wealth creation.

Access to low-cost credit issued by central banks creates financial and political power. Those with access to low-cost credit have a monopoly as valuable as the one to create money.

I explain why in my book A Radically Beneficial World: Automation, Technology and Creating Jobs for All.

Compare the limited power of an individual with cash and the enormous power of unlimited cheap credit.

Let’s say an individual has saved $100,000 in cash. He keeps the money in the bank, which pays him less than 1% interest. Rather than earn this low rate, he decides to loan the cash to an individual who wants to buy a rental home at 4% interest.

There’s a tradeoff to earn this higher rate of interest: the saver has to accept the risk that the borrower might default on the loan, and that the home will not be worth the $100,000 the borrower owes.

The bank, on the other hand, can perform magic with the $100,000 they obtain from the central bank. The bank can issue 19 times this amount in new loans—in effect, creating $1,900,000 in new money out of thin air. Continue reading

Child Sex Trafficking & Cognitive Dissonance

traffickingDouglas Hagmann – Human trafficking and in particular, child sex trafficking, is an incredibly difficult topic to contemplate and even more difficult to discuss. It exemplifies the absolute worst of humanity. It is the proverbial third rail of societal and political discourse that most people will avoid at all costs. Failing avoidance, cognitive dissonance takes over, for most people cannot fathom this level of human depravity.

But fathom and confront it we must. In so doing, we should expect and will encounter denials, pushback, accusations of “fake news” and claims of hyperbole.  Such opposition to exposure is interesting itself, for it originates not just from the usual suspects, but even from many on the “conservative” side of the political and social spectrum. This alone deserves and requires a separate report.

Pizzagate

Many Americans were horrified by the accusations of child sex trafficking and pedophilia associated with “Pizzagate,” a much maligned and equally misused term that was thrust into the English lexicon following the publication of the Podesta emails by Wikileaks last fall. As it quickly trended, Pizzagate embodied a moving target of definitions, activities, individuals and groups, seemingly taking on a life of its own. Continue reading

Sarah Sanders Blasts CNN For “Fake News”

Katherine Frisk: Why do I find this all so amusing? In 2011 I got a wake up call. That all the media across western nations was owned by a small handful of six corporations and controlled by the CIA who dictates the narrative. This is a fact.

The so-called “news,” which is a propaganda tool and no longer gives truthful, honest, unbiased and accurate reporting, is a blight on all societies and a travesty in the so-called “civilized world.”

In spite of my terrible spelling and bad grammar, I made a commitment to pick up my pen, join the truth movement and do whatever I could to wake up the brainwashed. Instead of expecting the media to do their jobs, which they clearly had no intention of doing, I realized that the only solution was to become the media. So have thousands of others. I am not alone by a long shot.

Western Media today lies about everything and they have been lying for years. Here are a few examples: Continue reading

Secret Towers Of The Himalayas [Video]

Alexandra Bruce – This 2003 documentary takes us along with explorer Frédérique Darragon to the region straddling the Tibet Autonomous Region and Sichuan Province in China to explore the mysterious towers built there. The builders had no written language and no machines.

https://youtu.be/QqEuYKpKrHU

Carbon dating tests that she had done have confirmed that these were built 500 to 1,800 years ago. It is amazing that these towers have survived so many centuries in this earthquake-prone land. It’s believed that the towers’ hardiness is due to their star-shaped design and to an anti-seismic construction method specific to this part of China, which intersperses masonry with wood planks or beams. This method is still employed in the construction of traditional homes in the region today.

House Dems Hired A Fired McDonald’s Worker As Their IT Guy

Luke Rosiak – Multiple members of Congress hired as their information technology (IT) administrator an individual whose most recent job experience was being fired from McDonald’s, The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group has learned.

Spokesmen for the members won’t say what their bosses knew at the time, but the hiring decisions highlight the role — witting or unwitting — the representatives played in what turned out to be an alleged multi-million-dollar IT scam in Congress with serious implications for national security.

Soon after Imran Awan joined the staff of Florida Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz in 2005, his brothers Abid and Jamal, his wife Hina, and his brother’s wife Natalia all appeared on other members’ payrolls, supposedly as IT administrators. His best friend Rao Abbas landed on the payroll too. Most of them made salaries ordinarily only chiefs of staff earn, but they were rarely seen or heard from in Hill IT circles.

The crew is now the target of a U.S. Capitol Police criminal information security probe with assistance from other law enforcement agencies as needed. Politicoreported the “House staffers are accused of stealing equipment from members’ offices without their knowledge and committing serious, potentially illegal, violations on the House IT network.” Continue reading
