Finding Common Ground – Spiritualistic vs. Scientific Worldview

EnergySimon Vandekerckhove – Famously, the Book of Genesis opens with the presumptuous statement that, “In the beginning … God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). This very first line of the Bible has put the Christian faith – or any other faith for that matter – in direct contrast with the scientific worldview, which states that everything is created by chance and that matter is all that exists. Between both irreconcilable ideologies, there lies a world of endless possibilities to explore that may shed a more comprehensive light on the extraordinary nature of our existence.

The materialistic vs. spiritualistic worldview has been a source of much dispute between scientific hardliners and religious fundamentalists. To figure out which of the two is more credible, let’s take a closer look at both positions.

According to scientists, our universe started off with a Big Bang that created all mass, out of which solar systems, planets, humans, etc. came into existence through gradual evolution. That is in all likelihood what happened, but scientists are unable to explain how from the very moment the explosion occurred, certain regularities were established that were indispensable for our planet and, indeed, the whole universe to exist. They are what scientists call the physical constants and they have stayed pretty much the same all over the known universe from the onset of its tumultuous creation. Continue reading

More Antics In Antarctica…?

gmoJoseph P Farrell – As you might guess, Antarctica is in the news again, but I’m at a complete loss to explain it. It’s one of those stories that goes into my “maybe” file, but it’s important enough to pass along, because Antarctic Antics is something we “do” here.

First, let’s start with this story, which so many people saw last week that it was difficult to choose which version to refer everyone to. But his one is as good as any:

Giant canyons discovered in Antarctica

This is one of those bland stories that you don’t think about unless…well, you think about it.  With the improvements of radar tomography technologies over the past few years, it’s possible to take a “peak” under all that ice covering Antarctica to see the lay of the actual land underneath. Ignoring Economic Reality: Ayn Rand Would Laugh

“We can ignore reality, but we cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.”  – Ayn Rand.

goldGary Christenson – The western world has ignored economic realities for decades. It’s not a Republican or Democratic problem. Banking, power, fiat currencies, dishonest money and transfers of wealth are the issues.

The consequences of ignoring reality are uncomfortable and dangerous. However, most people prefer palatable, easy to digest and believable stories.

In the United States, the U.K., Europe, and Japan it is comforting to believe:

• Debt has increased exponentially for decades and for over 100 years in the US. We want to believe debt will grow for another century. (It won’t.)

• Governments want to borrow, spend their way into prosperity, and pretend and extend indefinitely. (Not likely.)

• It is comforting to believe our politicians and central bankers manage our countries and currencies for the benefit of the populace. (Don’t plan on it.) Continue reading

What’s Hillary Hiding about Her Health?

hillaryBrian C. Joondeph, M.D., MPSHillary Clinton is either the gift that keeps on giving or else like house guests who overstayed their welcome, depending on your perspective.  For Republicans, her continued presence in the public eye, whining and complaining about the election, providing a new excuse each week, is an electoral gift, as she is one of the faces of the modern Democratic Party.

Along with Maxine Waters and Nancy Pelosi, these three are the witches of Macbeth, circled around a CNN microphone chanting, “Double, double, toil and trouble, Trump’s a pig, stole the election, and should be impeached.”  Sorry for the non-rhyme; maybe Jesse Jackson can help with that part of the incantation.

If Democrats hope to beat Trump in 2020, or take either house of Congress in November, they need fresh ideas besides Russia and Stormy and a new face of the party rather than a two-time loser who is quite unlikeable.  And there is still the nagging issue about her health.

The media are willing and eager to look in every nook and cranny for evidence of Trump-Russian collusion, and to date, they have come up with nothing.  But which journalists have investigated Mrs. Clinton’s health?  The presidency is a demanding job with a similarly vigorous campaign required to earn the votes to become president.  Mrs. Clinton failed in the campaign.  How would she have done as president? Swamp Creature Treytor Gowdy

Sundance – Last night on Fox News Representative Trey Gowdy stunned many people with multiple comments.  There are multiple aspects to the interview that were/are alarming.

In one segment Gowdy stated the Mueller investigation was both a criminal and counterintelligence investigation.  Moments later Mr. Gowdy proclaimed his advanced knowledge of the innocence of FBI Director James Comey and Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe surrounding Spygate.

In another segment Gowdy, a former prosecutor himself, asserted that President Trump should sit down with Robert Mueller for a dangerous inquisition by a team of political prosecutors hired specifically because of their adverse ideology.

 See interview here.

In a well-timed (pre-planned) follow-up, Trey Gowdy appeared on CBS this morning to finish execution of the plan.  Notice Norah O’Donnell has her carefully crafted (pre-written) bullet-point questions at the ready.  Watch: Continue reading
