Doing, Doing, Doing!

lifeMary O’Malley – I invite you for a few moments to let go of reading this blog and simply rest here. Let go of past and future; let go of all the stories in your head and simply be.

Did you find this difficult? Most people do. We live in a world of busyness, always trying to get to a so-called better place. Have you ever seen one of those videos of a downtown street where they fast forward the images of people and cars?  It looks like an overly frenetic anthill. If you could have a video of your mind, you would see that it lives on fast-forward a lot of the time too – doing, doing, doing.

All this doing comes from a voice inside urging us to do more, to accomplish more, to do better, to be better. The crazy thing about living this way is it is addictive but it’s not sustainable. It’s like the thrill of hydroplaning in a boat but one day you run out of gas and the nose of the boat dives down into the water as you crash. In other words, in the end, all our busyness doesn’t add much to our lives. Continue reading

Anima Mundi (World Soul)

VenusM. Kelley Hunter – This Virgo New Moon, accompanied by Mercury, Mars, Venus and Asteroid Juno, completes a grand triangle with planets now in all three earth signs. This is a season to appreciate in a very deep way, as Earth calls us to a deep delight as we dwell in the spirit of Anima Mundi, the living ‘world soul.’

“This world is indeed a living being endowed with a soul and intelligence…
a single visible living entity containing all other living entities,
which by their nature are all related.” —Plato

U.S. farmer commits suicide after committing massive organic fraud for nearly a decade

organicMike Adams – Do you trust the “organic” label to really be organic? A U.S. farmer named Randy Constant killed himself to avoid a 10-year prison sentence after being convicted of running a massive organic fraud scheme that produced millions of bushels of “organic” corn and soybeans which were sold into the U.S. marketplace.

His conviction has been called the largest organic fraud scheme in the history of America. Constant amassed a fortune of $142 million in fraudulent organic grain sales as part of the scheme which saw fake organic grains fed to meat livestock to produce so-called “organic” meat. (He essentially laundered fraudulent fake organic grains through animals to produce fake organic meat.)

This fraudulent “organic” meat was then sold to retailers all across the country who sold that meat to health-conscious consumers who falsely believed the meat was organic. The Associated Press reports: Continue reading

Rockefeller University Moves To Remove “Dude Wall” After Rachel Maddow Remarks

genderJonathan Turley – We have previously discussed universities are removing portraits of their founders or most accomplished figures because they are white males. The latest such example is Rockefeller University and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute where neurobiologist  Leslie Vosshall announced that portraits of the winners of the prestigious winners of the Nobel Prize and the Lasker Award are displayed.

The problem is that they are the wrong race and gender so a panel is expected to order their removal. The “problem” was identified by MSNBC host Rachel Maddow who gave an award for leading female scientists and derisively referred to the portraits by asked “What is up with the dude wall?” Now the “Dude Wall” will be removed in a move that is as sexist as it is anti-intellectual. Epstein: Too Much For People To Take?

Jeffrey EpsteinPaul Rosenberg – It’s profoundly dangerous to teach people things they’re not ready to learn. That’s why people who see pedophilia in high places keep their mouths shut. If they speak up, they’re likely to be chopped up by the friends of the pedophiles, and to the approval of an uncomfortable public. (I presume this is also why women shut their mouths after being abused. If you tell people what they don’t want to know, they’ll be glad when you’re swept away.)

The unspoken parts of such things are the implications they cast:

If uncle Henry is a rapist, how come I love him?

If President X is a life-long abuser of women, why did I vote for him twice and defend him a hundred times? Continue reading
