Harley Schlanger – After months of hyping the prospects for a Democratic Party sweep into control of the U.S. House in the November 6 midterm elections, the anti-Trump fanatics in the “Fake News” mainstream media seem to be recognizing that the dramatic change in thinking among Americans, which led to Donald Trump’s victory in November 2016, was not a momentary phenomenon.

The lead election story in the {Washington Post} on October 21 reflects this recognition, in its opening sentence:; “Democratic hopes for a wave election that could carry them to a significant House majority have been tempered in recent weeks amid a shifting political landscape….”  While the rest of the article is full of the usual slanders against the President and his supporters, the underlying tone reflects the fear of those behind the coup attempt to topple Trump, that Americans have awakened to the fact that the British, and their allies among the Obama-Clinton Democrats, Bush Republicans, and lying media, remain committed to overturning the result of the 2016 election.

Trump has been holding election rallies across the country, with large, wildly enthusiastic crowds greeting him, cheering his charge that his opponents are conducting a witch hunt against him, due to their fear that he — and they — are taking the country back from the free-trading, war-mongering, anti-growth globalists who drove the nation into a ditch during the Bush and Obama administrations. That the media continues to distort his comments, and to push instead the largely-rejected fake narrative of “Russian meddling-Trump collusion” as being responsible for his election, only serves to strengthen the anti-establishment mood of the voters, which does not always show up in the polls.

To fully defeat the coup, it is essential that the British role in initiating “Russiagate” be exposed, as it also explains the slavish devotion to British imperial geopolitics that characterized the approach of the Bush and Obama administrations, and was embraced by his 2016 opponent, Hillary Clinton. Trump won his election by ruthlessly exposing how those policies risked triggering World War III and a global economic crash, and voters responded to his promise to work for peaceful cooperation with Russia and China, and against the predatory City of London/Wall Street financial system.

It is therefore highly significant that the former U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C., Joseph DiGenova, identified the British role explicitly in an interview with that city’s radio station, WMAL, on October 15. Asked about the delay in declassifying documents related to the secret FISA Court warrants to spy on the Trump campaign, DiGenova identified the hand of British intelligence, in collaboration with the Obama Administration, which would be proven once those documents become public. The British and the Australian governments begged for Trump to delay the declassification.

The release of these documents is what scares the British, he said. “British MI6 conducted illegal electronic surveillance on U.S. citizens at the request of the FBI and [CIA’s] Brennan….Illegal spying by the Brits. That’s why the Brits are going crazy.”

“That’s a remarkable issue,” he continued. “We talk about domestic surveillance all the time. But when you stretch out to work with foreign governments–read ‘collude’–to spy on an American citizen, that really opens up an entirely different can of worms. It opens up a huge criminal liability on the part of American intelligence officials, especially Brennan. Brennan actually visited London, before all this started, and visited MI6 and GCHQ before it started….”

After speaking further about the complicity of Obama intelligence officials in illegal spying and involvement in the coup attempt, DiGenova explained how they planted the Russiagate story through a typical FBI sting operation. The documents “will show Halper [a joint asset of the CIA and MI6] used a CIA agent to entrap Papadopoulos and Page [two low-level Trump campaign advisers], and funnel back to U.S. [lies about Russian involvement], to the FBI, to get the FISA warrant. [To get] MI6 and GCHQ to do illegal overseas surveillance of the these people–totally illegal! The application [for a FISA warrant] presents [Page] as in cahoots. They knew it was all fabricated.” He characterized the entire operation as “so much worse than Watergate.”

DiGenova warned that “if Republicans lose the House, these investigations are over because [Senate Intelligence Chair] Burr is a chicken–the only way it will come out is through a criminal investigation by DOJ, and that won’t happen unless Sessions and Rosenstein are gone after the election. If we lose the House, all of the investigations come to an end. Every one of them.”

President Trump is well aware of this, and that is why he is making it a theme of his campaign rallies. As the [Washington Post] story reveals, this strategy is having an effect, and threatens to derail the hopes of the anti-Trumpers for taking over the Congress on November 6, as winning a Democratic majority is a pre-condition for an impeachment of the President.
