The New Moon in Virgo symbolizes separating the wheat from the chaff. This is a month to be particularly discriminating about what ideas, information, and values you allow into your life, for Virgo is a very practical sign. It’s not only about criticizing what we don’t like, it’s about figuring out what you do want and then taking the responsibility to manifest it in our lives. If you don’t, someone else will step in to fill the void and take that choice away.

The sign of Virgo represents of Mother Earth, shifting our focus to practical matters, especially in relation to our bodies, our health, our Earth, and how we are care-taking or squandering our energy and our resources.

On September 16th, the second eclipse of the month takes place in the watery realm of Pisces. This lunation will be a Full Moon / Lunar Eclipse bringing with it the power of closure and endings. This will be a Harvest Moon indicating that it’s time to “reap what we sow”. The sign of Pisces is the sign that rules Neptune, and is associated with the great cosmic ocean of life, the collective karma, spiritualism, compassion, Christ consciousness, art, music, mysticism, physics, and psychic healing. The shadow side of Pisces brings up victimization, collective fears, escapism, spiritual fog, chaos, religious bigotry and self-loathing. This Lunar Eclipse can also be seen as an emotional adjustment cycle.
