Alexandra Bruce – ‘Roswell’, based on the 1947 UFO crash in Roswell, New Mexico was a major TV movie release in 1994. Some readers may recall that in 1994, books about the abduction phenomenon by Budd Hopkins, Dr. John Mack and Whitley Strieber topped the New York Times Bestseller List, The X Files was one of the most popular TV shows and bumper stickers with grey aliens were everywhere.

Official UFO disclosure seemed imminent and it actually almost happened, according to Dr Steven Greer. In July of 1994, Greer says he was called to a New York City meeting with Prince Hans-Adam of Liechtenstein. Hans-Adam allegedly told Greer that in 1989, he had been present at a very secret and classified UN meeting with Mikhail Gorbachev and others to organize a major UFO disclosure announcement. However, while UN Secretary Javier Pérez de Cuéllar was on his way to this secret meeting, he was “abducted” by “aliens”. A well-known account of this multiple-witness event near the Brooklyn Bridge became the subject of Budd Hopkins’ 1996 book, Witnessed.
Pérez de Cuéllar told Prince Hans-Adam that aliens aboard the craft warned him that if the UN went forward with its plan to disclose the truth about extraterrestrial life, that they would abduct all of the world’s leaders. This event allegedly ‘blew up like an atomic bomb’ in the George HW Bush White House. That summer, the President’s house in Kennebunkport, Maine was buzzed by UFOs throughout his stay. What Bush didn’t realize, according to Greer was that these craft were “ours”.
Greer claims that someone from a splinter group of a super-secret society called Majic who was in charge of preventing leaks from within Majic was also responsible for producing this entire “abduction scenario” by means of psychotronic brainwave entrainment devices, which successfully caused de Cuéllar, those in his motorcade and in nearby cars on the FDR and Brooklyn Bridge to see an alien craft hovering at low altitude and to experience their UFO encounters as real.
Linda Cortile, the main subject of Budd Hopkins’ book, cited this same UN motorcade. Two Federal agents from this motorcade phoned Hopkins and claimed to have been present. They were later nowhere to be found. Publicly, de Cuéllar denied any involvement in the events described in Hopkins’ book. Greer claims the event as “100% military psyops.”
Greer explains that Pérez de Cuéllar and Poppy Bush, not being aware of these classified psychotronic devices, believed the fake abduction scenario to be real. Horrified, they pulled the plug on any plans for UFO/ET disclosure, in November 1989 at the end of the Cold War.
The Prince of Liechtenstein was also convinced by Pérez de Cuéller’s telling of his experience. In the hope that they would spread a fear and loathing of extraterrestrials, Prince Hans-Adam began to financially support the work of those abduction researchers who gave these stories a terrifying spin, like Budd Hopkins, Temple University History Professor David Jacobs and Harvard University Psychology Department Chairman, Dr. John Mack, He later complained about Dr Mack and said he wasn’t going to finance his work anymore because Mack had begun reporting on his subjects’ positive experiences.
A fascinating possible backstory to this UN initiative emerged from the late Wendelle Stevens – or rather, from his friend, Argentinean UFO investigator and author, Pedro Romaniuk, who was flown to Russia by the Gorbachev government for a 2-week visit, during which time he learned the story of Mikhail Gorbachev’s Indigo son, Aldes.
Aldes was alleged to be an extraterrestrial from the Pleiades Constellation who was born as a human to Gorbachev’s wife, Raisa in 1977. The same group of aliens who very publicly landed in a city park of Voronezh in 1989 were apparently instrumental in the meteoric rise of Gorbachev’s career in Soviet politics – and as the instigator of its dismantling.
