The Connection Between the star Sirius and New Year’s Eve on Earth

Carol Ciocco – Did you know that at Midnight on New Year’s Eve, we are directly ‘downstream’ from the brightest star in our skies, the star Sirius?

Yes, deeply embedded in our cultural celebrations of New Year’s Eve for the past 70 years lies a hidden celestial synchronicity. It turns out that the star is intimately linked with our tradition of ‘ringing out the old and ringing in the new’ with jubilant celebrations at exactly midnight on New Year’s Eve.

One could say that we are showered with the blessings of a brilliant shining star at that magical moment – and somehow we seem to sense this, jumping up and down with glee!

Immortality

Because Sirius is the brightest star in our sky, in antiquity it was known as ‘The Shining One’ or ‘The Scorcher.’ The ancient Egyptians called Sirius ‘Isis’ (Sothis) and built their calendar around the heliacal (with the sun) rising and setting of this magnificent star (this occurs in July).

The Egyptians believed that Sirius had a tremendous effect upon life on our planet. In particular, they felt that the star could bring immortality to humans and oriented the pyramid at Giza to the Sirius light. Some historians attribute the Giza pyramid alignment to the Pharaoh’s desire to gain immortality after death by traveling to Sirius in his ‘light body’ or Ka.

Synchronicity With Our Solar Year

The Sirius system is directly “upstream” of our solar system within the galactic arm of our Milky Way Galaxy (the Orion arm). Modern astronomy has determined that Sirius is traveling directly towards Earth at many thousands of miles per hour. By coming directly towards us, it creates an axis of rotation with Earth relative to the stellar background. Because of this, of all the stars in our skies, only Sirius exactly matches the length of our solar year, 365.25 days. This exact correlation has led some to surmise that Sirius is related to our Sun as a binary star.

The Golden Mean Of Polarity

However, the system of Sirius is a binary in itself. This system contains two known stars and was the first binary star system discovered by earth astronomers.

The larger and brighter of the two stars, Sirius A, is three times the mass of our sun, and over ten times as bright. Shining with a brilliant blue-white radiance, Sirius A easily overshadows her darker companion star, Sirius B – a ‘white dwarf’ star, invisible to the naked eye. Sirius B packs the equivalent mass of our sun into an incredibly dense globe only 4 times the diameter of our Earth.

The ‘dark brother’ to massive brilliant Sirius A, Sirius B has immense impact on the rotational pattern of Sirius. And as a result, it helps to reveal important information in our understanding of the Law of Polarity and how we can manage such intense contrast here on Earth

Sirius B traces an elliptical orbit around Sirius A, and in their common center of gravity they directly face the Earth like the dial of a clock. In their dual gravitational pull upon one the other, Sirius and its companion form a beautiful spiral dance.

As they rotate relative to their respective gravitational fields, Sirius A and Sirius B are observed to twist around each other in a helix-like spiral that has, over the course of its 50 year cycle, the expansive/contractive design of the Golden Proportion, a geometric pattern that is evident in all natural forms, from the seed-heads of a sunflower to the relative proportions of our own bodies and the motions of hurricanes.

When, at midnight on New Year’s Eve, the polarized energies of Sirius wash over us, something mystical and profound is revealed – i.e. polarity is, at its essence, Golden Perfection.

“Sirius imprints upon us a realignment of our own vibrational patterns, touched by the perfection of the Golden Proportion. If we have gone astray from our original DNA blueprint of balance and harmony – for instance through toxic food, air, thoughts etc. – the Sirian influence reestablishes balance and harmony within our Body/Mind/Soul. Out with the old, in with the new!” – Freya Owlsdottir

Perfection & A Fresh New Beginning

The key word to describe Sirius energies is TRANSFORMATION. This is the gift of mastery that flows to us in this moment at the turning of our 365-day solar year..

One of the tools for mastering this gift is the use of Sacred Geometry and the Morphic Fields of perfection. The Morphic Fields contain the blueprint for all physical form in its ultimate and perfect expression.

This may be why the Egyptians linked this star with immortality, as it holds the codes of perfection that exist in the 6th dimension. These forms will always be there, even if something on earth becomes distorted or even extinct. The Golden Proportion is eternal, and even if our thoughts and actions distort our bodies, our minds, our spirit and our Planet itself – the ideal of perfection is always held available to us if we choose to allow it to return.

It is from this field that we create physical form through the use of imagination and visualization. When you see something as perfect, you are accessing these fields to then activate what you see into physical form. The key to activating the form into being is adding emotion and feeling, specifically Love.

Tune In To The Sirius Stream Of Light Codes

Our magical midnight of New Beginnings marks the moment when the energies of Sirius, directly overhead, most closely touch our lives in their most singular purity. And it is literally built into our culture that each year we mark this midnight moment by jumping for joy as the rush of this vital connection surges through us.

To be in conscious attendance of Sirius’s positional relationship in the midheaven at midnight enables us to receive the empowerment of its Spirit directly into our lives. And – perhaps most significantly – we are infused with its ancient association with making things brand new again, a perennial New Year desire.

So, as the ball drops over Times Square on December 31 each year, so does a blast of energy from Sirius, “The Shining One”. This energy can be tapped into for the creation of perfect and beautiful expressions on Earth, for our understanding of how to work with contrast, for a pure new beginning, and for deep transformation.

This year, at midnight on December 31 – as you are hugging your loved ones and feeling the power of love, celebration, joy and gratitude – visualize how you want the Planet to look, how you want your life to look, and how you want yourself (your body or home, for instance) to look. Visualize the Earth – and all life upon – it in its ultimate perfection. Allow this magic to infuse your visualizations into form.

I wish you the Bright Blessings of the Light of the Shining One, that she may bestow upon you a most wondrous and Happy New Year!

Cheers!

Carol

  1. Thank you, Gillian, for posting this most wonderful article. I didn’t know this about Sirius and I’m delighted to find out. And so I say to you, G, and to all your readers, Happy New Sirius Year, and thank you for all that you do. I’ve been reading SF for years now and daily I am informed and enlightened. In these times of MSM silliness and fear mongering, SF is a genuine journalistic endeavour. Thank you! Love, B.
