Chief Diversity Officer is ‘white as driven snow,’ Mom says
Saraswati

Frank Holmes – A far-Left organization just got a humiliating lesson on the pitfalls of dividing Americans on the basis of their skin color.

The radical group hired the head of its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) office based on her apparent race… only to find out she’s secretly “as white as the driven snow.”

Raquel Evita Saraswati, 39, got a plumb post as Chief Equity, Inclusion and Culture Officer at the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC). The socialist-leaning organization, which is associated with the Quakers, hired her because she’s a Muslim, queer, and “multiethnic.”

Or so they thought. Continue reading

RAF Suspends Job Offers To White Men To Diversify

Niamh Harris – The British Royal Air Force has suspended job offers to white men in an effort to meet their diversity targets.

The head of recruitment has even resigned in protest amid claims the service has effectively paused recruitment of white men to hit diversity targets.

So they are pausing the hire of white men because they’re the wrong color and gender.

Isn’t there a name for that? Continue reading

Freedom to Live & Let Live

lifeThe Angels – Take a breath and promise yourself that this year you will grant yourself permission to be happy no matter what the world around you is doing. Grant yourself permission to feel free in your spirit no matter the restrictions you witness in your world. Grant yourself permission to know what you know when you know it, no matter who or what is trying to convince you to think as they do.

You are uniquely you, and you didn’t come to be or to please anyone else. Neither did anyone else come to earth to be or to please you. There are those with whom you will naturally fit with and those with whom you will not, and this is exactly how your earthly life was designed to be. Continue reading

Diversity Comes to the Cockpit

DiversityJohn Green – United Airlines has decided that it’s time for a little makeover.  The airline is not going to do that by changing its paint scheme, its in-flight service, or its billing structure.  No, it’s got a much more ambitious objective in mind.  United will polish its woke credentials by giving its clientele what it wants most — diversity in the cockpit.  United has announced that 50% of its new pilots entering training will be females or people of color.

To fully appreciate the flaw in United’s decision, it’s important to understand the reasoning of the diversity industry.  When I was an engineering manager, I had occasion to hire a number of new engineers.  To ensure diversity, our HR department would be intimately involved in the hiring decisions.

2016 Financial Theme #1: The Loss of Great Power Leverage

civilCharles Hugh Smith – A number of systemic, structural forces are intersecting in 2016. One is the decline of Great Power leverage.

Once a nation’s civil society–broadly speaking, the institutions of social cohesion–has been shredded so that power rests in the hands of the few, the nation becomes exquisitely vulnerable to coups and regime change.

As the seminal book Coup d’État: A Practical Handbook (1968) explained, coups are a function of the concentration of power: if political power (and by extension of that leverage, economic/financial power) has been concentrated into the hands of a few, changing governments (and indeed, entire systems of control) is greatly simplified: kill, imprison or exile this handful of insiders, and the pyramid below will be yours.

This vulnerability makes any nation run by a small clique a very tempting target to Great Powers and neighboring nations seeking to become regional powers.

Nations with diverse civil societies–by definition, societies with a tolerance for dissent and multiple circles of civil, political, religious and economic power–cannot easily be captured by coups, as power is too diversified to be consolidated in a few hours by a tiny clique or the agents of a foreign power.
