Fed Up Texas Chick – I only wish this article was about Johnny Cash’s song, one of my favorites! Instead, it’s about the wildfires that are ravaging Texas: “It was like a ring of fire. There was no way out. All four main roads were closed. A wind came in and blew the fire in the opposite direction. That saved my life.”

The Texas Panhandle is on fire. One of the blazes, the Smokehouse Creek Fire, is the largest fire in state history. To date, it has burned over one million acres, more than half the size of the state of Rhode Island. Continue reading →
