Bayer (Monsanto) Loses Billions As Another Jury Determines Roundup Herbicide Causes Cancer

bayerArjun Walia – It’s hard to imagine how any jury could not come to the conclusion that Roundup herbicide causes cancer.

Not long ago, a middle school grounds keeper by the name of Dewayne Johnson was awarded a victory after a jury found Bayer, who recently acquired Monsanto, to be guilty of causing / contributing to his terminal cancer. And that may just be the beginning.

There are approximately 10,000 cancer cases pending against Monsanto when it comes to their Roundup herbicide.

Johnson’s jury heard evidence that for four decades Monsanto purposefully concealed Roundup’s carcinogenicity by capturing regulatory agencies, corrupting public officials, bribing scientists and engaging in scientific fraud to delay its day of reckoning. The jury found that these activities constituted “malice, fraud and oppression” warranting $250 million in punitive damages.

Carcinogenic Weed Killer ‘Roundup’ Found In Breakfast Foods For Kids

CancerSean Adl-Tabatabai – A number of popular breakfast foods and cereals targeting children contain dangerous levels of glyphosate, an ingredient contained in Monsanto’s flagship weed killer Roundup.

According to a study by Environmental Working Group (EWG), the toxic herbicide was detected in thirty-one out of 45 breakfast products; including oats, granolas and snack bars.

Cbsnews.com reports: Recently, some scientists, doctors and activists around the world have worked to keep glyphosate out of crops due to concerns that it is a dangerous carcinogen.

“We’re very concerned that consumers are eating more glyphosate than they know,” said Scott Faber, vice president of government affairs at EWG. He has been working to improve food safety standards for more than a decade. He said he and his team at EWG had a lab test involving “45 samples of products made with conventionally grown oats” and found glyphosate – the active ingredient in the Monsanto weed-killer Roundup – in all but two. Landmark Monsanto Verdict May Not Have Been Possible Without Activism and Alternative Media

glyphosateMatt Agorist – On Friday, a landmark case against Monsanto’s Roundup weedkiller concluded in San Francisco in which a jury awarded $289 million in damages to a former school groundskeeper, Dewayne Johnson, concluding that Roundup gave him terminal cancer.

Naturally, Monsanto announced that they are going to appeal this case. However, what this case illustrates is a massive shift in the tide against the chemical behemoth. Had Johnson attempted this lawsuit just three years ago, he would’ve likely been laughed out of the courtroom.

Thanks to the relentless independent investigations and independent media, however, this is all changing. Continue reading

Monsanto Employee: Disinformation Unit Exists To ‘Debunk’ Scientists

Sean Adl-Tabatabai – A Monsanto whistleblower has admitted that an entire department exists within the corporation tasked with spreading disinformation ‘debunking’ scientists who speak out against GMOs.

glyphosateDespite the fact that the WHO recently classified glyphosate, a chemical in Monsanto’s herbicide Roundup, as carcinogenic – Monsanto has doubled down on aggressively countering all negative press coverage, regardless of veracity.

Naturalsociety.com reports: Monsanto has been demanding that the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) retract their statements about the poisons’s toxicity to human health.

The company demands this even though a peer-reviewed study published in March of 2015 in the respected journal, The Lancet Oncology, conducted a analysis proving that glyphosate was indeed ‘probably carcinogenic.’ Continue reading

FDA Found Glyphosate in Nearly All Foods Tested and Hid the Results

Jonathan Landsman – In an alarming revelation, it has come to light that government scientists at U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have found the weed killer ingredient glyphosate in many popular processed foods.

glyphosateThis information was in emails that were obtained through a freedom of information request (what they did with that ‘intelligence’ is SHOCKING!).

Glyphosate is perhaps best known as the main ingredient in the Roundup weed killer brand from the Monsanto company. And, the FDA has been testing foods for the presence of herbicides and pesticides including, this highly toxic substance glyphosate for two years – but had not released results. (Gee, I wonder why).

Glyphosate has been used in weed killer for the past 40 years

The leaked information shows that the organization has had trouble finding foods that do NOT contain traces of this harmful chemical. Corn meal, crackers, cereals and many other processed foods all show traces of glyphosate.

The internal FDA email is dated January 2017 and is a portion of many communications within the organization to determine just how much glyphosate is in our nation’s food supply. It is the first time the FDA has attempted to ascertain the levels and potential risks of glyphosate contamination.
