Searching For Answers In The Land Of The Immunized

immunityJonathan Turley – Last week, the disclosure of a total of five immunity agreements handed out by the Justice Department as part of its investigation of the Clinton email scandal. The extent of the deals and the recipients were surprising, particularly in the failure to previously disclose those deals.

As a criminal defense lawyer, I was surprised to see the deals include Cheryl Mills, one of the highest officials accused in the deletion of tens of thousands of emails and the failure to heed warnings over the risk to national security from the use of the Clinton private server. Below is the column.

When FBI Director James B. Comey announced that there would be no criminal charges in the Clinton email scandal, there was an outcry by many who saw glaring contradictions, attempts to destroy evidence, and knowing failures to protect classified or sensitive information. At the time, I acknowledged that Comey’s decision was understandable and, while criminal charges might have been possible, this was not out of bounds of prosecutorial discretion. However, the news this week of a previously undisclosed immunity deal with a top Clinton aide raises serious questions over the handling of the FBI investigation.

The latest recipient of an immunity deal from the Justice Department is one of Clinton’s closest aides and a figure at the heart of the email scandal, Cheryl Mills. She joins two other central figures in benefiting from such deals: former State Department staffer, Bryan Pagliano and tech specialist Paul Combetta. In addition to at least two other immunized witnesses according to the Associated Press, they represent the big three of officials involved in the underlying allegations of Clinton’s potential criminal conduct. Their collective immunization is baffling.

Vaccines and pesticides cause chronic illnesses in pets, too

– An estimated 50 percent of families in the U.S. own a dog, and about one-third own a cat. If you fall into either of these categories, you are probably familiar with the annual notices you get from your vet, persistently reminding you to vaccinate your pet. But what they aren’t telling you, is that most vaccines provide your pet with lifetime immunity, eliminating the need to vaccinate year after year.

In fact, vaccinating your pet annually poses more risks than it does benefits, because like humans, vaccines cause chronic illness in pets, too. Itchy, allergic dogs are the number one reason pets visit the vet, says Will Falconer, DVM, a homeopathic veterinarian providing care in Central Texas.

Dr. Falconer is a conventional vet turned holistic, whose transformation occurred about seven years into his conventional practice. Though drugs and surgery appeared successful, a voice inside told him there must be something more, prompting him to move on.

Pet vaccines provide years or lifetime of immunity

Dr. Falconer began exploring chiropractic for animals, as well as proper nutrition, before becoming certified in homeopathy in 1992. On his “homeopathic honeymoon,” as he calls it, Dr. Falconer witnessed incredible results, even curing his own cat Cali, who had “a horribly infected uterus” after giving birth to kittens in the wild. It was then that he tossed the antibiotics for good, and never looked back.

Research Finds The Key to ‘Turning On or Off’ Your Immune System

mannoseBindingLectinIt is a widely held belief that all someone needs to do to contract an infection, such as one caused by a virus, is to come into contact with an infected patient. However, it’s important to realize that these pathogens are only able to successfully invade and take hold within our bodies if our immune systems are weak. Thankfully, there are countless ways to boost immunity and fend off disease, one of these being to increase production or intake of mannose-binding lectins.

Mannose-binding lectins are produced by a healthy immune system, for the purpose of breaking apart glycoproteins that enable many viruses, certain bacteria, and some yeasts to hide from immune cells and penetrate cell membranes. Once a virus penetrates a cell, it wreaks havoc by hijacking the DNA and RNA in order to turn the cell into a virus-cloning factory.

There is a multitude of studies showing that mannose binding lectins (MBLs) are associated with infectious and other diseases. Research has found that low levels of MBLs are associated with a higher rate of infections from tuberculosis and sepsis to candidiasis, recurrent Clostridium difficile infections, influenza, and “golden staph.”

For example, sepsis patients had a lower MBL concentration than control patients, with a standardized mean difference of 1.59; among Asian patients there was a stronger association with an SMD of 3.07. Other research found that women with candidiasis had a 4.84 or 12.68 times greater risk respectively of recurrent infections if they had mutated variants of one or both pairs of a gene responsible for MBL production.
