New Report Says FBI Fraud Probe into Bernie’s Wife Has Deepened

sandersGuy Benson – Back in June, we highlighted an awkward television exchange in which Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders really, really didn’t want to answer questions from CNN anchor Erin Burnett about a federal bank fraud investigation targeting his wife — and in which he himself was also implicated.  It wasn’t the first time the Socialist lawmaker got testy on the subject, which he’s cynically tried to dismiss as a “pathetic attack” that was “launched by” a Trump supporter against his wife.  As explained at the time, this FBI probe into financial misconduct was actually kicked off by the Justice Department during the Obama era, and Jane Sanders — a grown adult and active political figure in Bernie’s orbit — isn’t above criticism for alleged criminal acts.

And once again, part of the investigation is reportedly examining whether the Senator abused his power and influence to help secure the fraudulent bank loan for the now-defunct college that his wife ran into the ground.  In other words, there could be serious trouble afoot for both halves of this left-wing couple, who saw fit to honeymoon in the Soviet Union.

Sen. Sanders’ Wife Tried Evicting Disabled Group Home Residents after Closing Shady College Deal

JaneJudicial Watch – Amid a deepening federal investigation of Jane Sanders, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders’ wife, Judicial Watch has obtained records that paint a rather disturbing personal portrait of a heartless spouse—and longtime political advisor—of the Democratic Socialist candidate for president of the United States.

During the Obama administration, the FBI began investigating Jane for falsifying documents to obtain a $10 million loan to expand a now-defunct liberal arts college in a town where her husband once served as mayor while she was the school’s president.

The school, Burlington College, was in a small city with the same name in northwestern Vermont. It’s a quaint town of about 42,000 that sits on the eastern shoreline of Lake Champlain and prides itself on having “diverse, forward-thinking citizens” that are “steeped in arts and culture.” Jane was president of the troubled college from 2004 to 2011 and in 2010, she had an ambitious plan to expand the campus by 33 acres, despite low enrollment and financial difficulties.

The then-president of Burlington College drastically overstated donation amounts in loan applications, according to the Vermont news website that broke the story, to obtain a $10 million loan. Jane indicated there was $2.6 million in pledged donations but the school only got $676,000 in four years. Continue reading

Bernie Sanders’ wife could face jail time

sandersAmerican Action News – Bernie Sanders’ wife is in deep trouble—and could be facing jail time, thanks to an FBI investigation into a college she once ran.

Jane O’Meara Sanders was the president of the now-defunct Burlington College in Vermont from 2004 to 2011. The college closed in May 2016.

Towards the end of her tenure, O’Meara Sanders spent $10 million to acquire 32 acres of property from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington, in order to increase the college’s footprint. In order to secure the $10 million, she took a $3.65 million loan from the diocese, and a $6.7 million loan from People’s United Bank.

In order to secure the loan, O’Meara Sanders is accused of fraudulently presenting the college’s financial strength. She told the bank that the college had $2.6 million in pledged donations. However, the actual amount was a fraction of that sum.
