Chairman Xi Announces Visit to North Korea…

Sundance – Well, well, well….  Against the backdrop of everything we have been discussing about the nature of the U.S. – China – North Korea geopolitics; and considering the current position of all the players; THIS is a very interesting development:

BEIJING (Reuters) – Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit North Korea for two days from Thursday, state media in both countries reported on Monday, making him the first Chinese leader to visit in 14 years.

Neighboring China is reclusive North Korea’s only major ally, and the visit comes amid renewed tensions between the United States and North Korea over efforts to persuade Pyongyang to give up its nuclear weapons.

“Both sides will exchange views on the (Korean) peninsula situation, and push for new progress in the political resolution of the peninsula issue,” China’s official broadcaster CCTV said in a lengthy report that led the evening news. (read more)

The possibility here is one most CTH readers will immediately recognize.  Is this the predictable face-saving approach Chairman Xi Jinping has selected? Continue reading

Trump Walks On NK, Senate Baby Killers, Economic Update [Video]

north koreaGreg Hunter – President Trump said he “walked away” from signing a deal on denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula. He said he would rather have “no deal than a bad deal.” He did get a commitment from North Korea to not test nukes and not do any further missile testing. No timeline was given for new talks.

The Senate could not get the 60 votes needed to pass legislation to protect the life of a baby born during an abortion. 44 Democrat Senators voted against legislation that would require doctors to give same care to infants who survived abortion that any other baby would get. How are these Senators going to run on killing babies in 2020? Continue reading

A Putin-Trump Summit Is In The Works…

trumpJoseph P Farrell – Well, it’s official: a Putin-Trump summit meeting is in the works. The real question is, what are they going to talk about? So many people sent me this article I have to comment about it, but again, what are they going to talk about? Some things are, of course, obvious:

1) Sanctions

2) The Ukraine (and with it, possibly, the Crimea)

3) Space militarization and commercialization.

With respect to the latter point, Russia has recently issued yet another caution about the militarization of space. This is predictable, since Russia has nowhere near the West’s private space corporations. In fact, to my knowledge, it has none at all, and as we have noted elsewhere on this site, Mr. Putin recently curtailed Russian defense spending to focus on building up Russia’s domestic infrastructure, particularly in Siberia. Such a step is necessary with the dramatic expansion of Russian agriculture, which demands a dramatic expansion of Russia’s rail and road transportation infrastructure. Continue reading

China’s Crown Jewel of Crazy, Spygate Bigger than Watergate, Economic Update [Video]

Greg Hunter – Trump canceled the June 12th summit with Kim Jong Un, and the North Korean leader is back within hours wanting to continue the talks.  What gives?  Why so crazy?  North Korea is China’s crown jewel of crazy, and it is not going to give that up without getting major concessions from Trump on trade and the South China Sea.  Anyone thinking the U.S. is negotiating with North Korea is nuts.  The U.S., in reality, is in negotiations with China, and that is why this is going to be drawn out.

It’s now called “Spygate,” and it makes Watergate look like a water balloon fight. This is the biggest scandal in U.S. history.  The Obama Administration tried to frame Donald Trump for conspiring with the Russians and used every dirty trick in the book to try to take him down, including the use of spies in his campaign.  People are going to be jailed over this one, and I mean top people.  This is treason against the Constitution and our elections. North Korean Nuclear Test Site Has Collapsed, Explaining Kim’s “Suspension” Of Further Tests

The trouble is, are we being told the truth as to how its test site was destroyed? Joseph offers a bit of high octane speculation about this story from last year: Continue reading
