Democracy, Autocracy . . . or Hypocrisy?

filibusterJonathan Turley – According to the Associated Press, President Joe Biden today will support changing the filibuster rule for voting rights legislation — a move widely viewed as effectively killing the rule. The report says that Biden will portray the choice starkly as one between democracy and autocracy.

The AP, however, does not reference the third option of hypocrisy by failing to note that Biden vehemently opposed such moves for decades. He previously denounced killing the rule as “disastrous” for our democracy but now will declare the rule itself to be an existential threat to democracy. It is the latest example of President Biden’s embrace of “whatever it takes politics.”

Timeline of Joe Biden’s Corruption [Video]

Biden corruption timelineAlexandra Bruce – I’ve uploaded some videos from Miles Guo’s GTV.org site, which are of interest because they’re produced by Chinese dissidents.

Transcript

Our investigation found that although Joe Biden has never been an honest person and his private life has been criticized by people, Biden didn’t collude with the CCP since the beginning.

His early comments were hawkish. So, when did Biden’s attitude toward the CCP begin to change? In our opinion, since 1997, when Biden became a ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee (SFRC), he became a target of CCP infiltration. Continue reading

McConnell Decides to Support Resolution Condemning the House Impeachment Inquiry

impeachmentCassandra Fairbanks – Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is throwing his support behind a resolution that condemns the House impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump.

The Left’s Endgame Is Not Chaos. It’s Worse.

chaosRobert Vincent – On an episode of The Candace Owens Show that aired this past May, Owens had as her guest Dennis Prager.  While I agreed with most of the points made by both Ms. Owens and Mr. Prager, one item struck me as an example of superficial analysis.  They declared that the primary objective of the Left is “chaos.”  In an immediate sense, this seems true; the so-called “progressive left” does appear to be deliberately sowing chaos in America today.

However, I submit that the Left’s “chaos” is an intermediate objective, the means to an end.  They have a well defined endgame.  The Communist Bloc countries were a lot of things, but they were generally not chaotic.  They were highly regimented societies, and while they did not have the material standard of living or political freedoms enjoyed in the West, there were some agreeable aspects, as related by the wife of one Carlo Alcos in an online feature story on the Matador Network about her early childhood experiences growing up in East Germany: Continue reading

Trump Scores Senate Victory

trumpTrump Train News – The Senate has passed criminal justice reform with bipartisan support handing Trump a big victory as the year closes out.

According to The Daily Wire:

In a rare moment of bipartisan action, the U.S. Senate passed President Trump’s widely supported First Step Act, a prison reform bill promoted heavily by Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. After the bill passed with an overwhelming 87-12 vote Tuesday night, Trump took to Twitter to celebrate the “historic” bill.

“America is the greatest Country in the world and my job is to fight for ALL citizens, even those who have made mistakes,” Trump wrote in a pair of tweets. “Congratulations to the Senate on the bi-partisan passing of a historic Criminal Justice Reform Bill. This will keep our communities safer, and provide hope and a second chance, to those who earn it. In addition to everything else, billions of dollars will be saved. I look forward to signing this into law!” Continue reading
