Yellow Vests Reject Macron’s ‘Rubbish’ Olive Branch – Take To The Streets For 24th Consecutive Week

Niamh Harris – The Yellow Vests have taken to the streets in Paris and other French cities for the 24th straight weekend despite Emmanuel Macron ‘s attempts to placate the protest movement with promises of lower taxes.

Dismissing the French President’s speech on Thursday, the activists called for the demonstrations to continue on Saturday.

RT reports: The demonstrators who assembled in Paris, Toulouse and Strasbourg on Saturday appear to signal that despite the French president’s recent concessions to the group, the Yellow Vest movement is alive and well.

France: Thousands Of Yellow Vest Protesters Take To The Streets For 15th Week Running

protestersNiamh Harris – Thousands of yellow vest protesters took to the streets across France on Saturday for the 15th consecutive week of demonstrations.

Five separate demonstrations in the capital drew around 5,800 people, the interior ministry said, while there were about 46,600 protesters nationwide according to DW.com

The Mail Online reports: Among the many rallies around Paris and in other French cities, hundreds gathered at the Arc de Triomphe monument in Paris to march through well-off neighborhoods to protest government policies they see as favoring the rich. Continue reading →

agenda 21Alexandra Bruce – It’s funny how so many topics once deemed to be “Tinfoil Hat conspiracy theories” keep getting proven to be fact. Concern about Agenda 21, aka the United Nations’ plan for Sustainable Development is an example.

Agenda 21 was placed front and center before Americans last week in the form of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ Green New Deal. Among its unrealistic goals, the Green New Deal aims to restructure the entire global energy economy within 10 years by completely “transitioning” the US out of fossil fuels and nuclear energy and into renewables, like wind and solar power.

What few will admit is that this plan implies genocide. As evidenced by the collapse of Rome and demonstrated repeatedly by successive societies, the halving of energy consumption leads directly to the collapse of human populations. Continue reading →

French Government Outraged As Italy’s Deputy PM Meets Yellow Vest Leaders

Niamh Harris – France has recalled its ambassador from Rome after Italy’s deputy prime minister Luigi di Maio met with leaders of the French Yellow Vest Movement

The French foreign ministry said that Di Maio’s meeting with leaders of the yellow vest movement was an “unacceptable provocation”  and that it undermined relations between the two European countries.

Yellow Vests Call for General Strike on February 5th [Video]

yellow vestsAlexandra Bruce – François Boulo is the a 32-year-old lawyer and spokesman for the Gilets Jaunes Yellow Vests movement in the northern city of Rouen, who is now calling on the French people to form a general strike on February 5th, as “The only way to force a deaf president to call us to the polls.”

As a lawyer, Boulo says, “I defend people threatened with the seizure of their homes by the banks,” and he complains that the “tax devices” of the Macron government work “for the benefit of the richest 1%,” at the expense of public services. Continue reading →
