How to spot a non-toxic nail polish

Check the ingredients used in the formulation. Chemists are now making a 3-free formula which excludes the use of toluene, formaldehyde and dibutyl phthalate (DPB). Experts have determined these these chemicals have harmful effects on humans.

The 3-free formula was later followed by the 5-free formula. This new formulation eliminated camphor and formaldehyde resin. Science has advanced to the point where  a 9-free formula currently exists which omits parabens and other hazardous chemicals.

Check the smell. Another way to check to ensure nail polish  is toxic-free is its smell. Chemical free nail polishes are usually odorless because all the dangerous elements have been eliminated. Nail-friendly nail paint is free of vaporous odor.

Farmer’s Market Berries nail polish is among the top 5 non-toxic nail polishes in 2018. It is free from chemicals, odorless and made with a hypoallergenic formula that is suitable for everyone.

Peel off nail polish has huge plus!

Traditional nail polishes require acetone or spirit for removal. Not so with peel off brands. You literally simply peel off the polish when ready. Peelable Nail Polish and Anjou Nail Polish are both quality peel off enamels you might consider.

Check nail paint consistency

Check for lumpiness and consistency of the nail paint. Non-toxic nail polish tends to make lumps when applied to nails.  That’s when the polish is a bit too thick. On the other hand it shouldn’t be too diluted either. We suggest that before buying you test a sample on your nails to insure consistency.
